I actually saw one once! It was pretty good looking.

No one in their right mind would spend over $55k for a new vehicle that does 0-60 in more than 7.5 seconds... and is essentially a tarted up Volt.

I've seen two of them on the road. I still think I'd rather get a Volt over an ELR, even if their price were identical.

$54k for a gas electric hybrid that gets 31/35MPG? I'll be surprised if they don't have to give them away.

I saw one. It was hogging the charging station that we needed to get home.

I'd consider it. $55k for a super nice volt? Sure.

I like the Volt a lot, and the ELR looks awesome. The interior is fantastic too.

I mean if I want a luxury EV and don't have Tesla Model S money, what else can I do? i3?

That's because they are beyond overpriced, and you'd have to be a blithering fool to pay full MSRP for one.

Sorry, Mr. Rolland.

Yeah I guess, I pulled those right from the autotrader ad.

that's only when needed tho, if you keep it juiced and to small distances you never use the gas. Remember they don't really have a gas engine, but a gas generator to re-juice the batteries/power the electric motor not technically power the wheels.

Isn't $20K below MSRP still too much?

I have seen ONE

And I live in Metro Detroit and see all the cars that everyone around the country thinks are flops.

I think with this price discount its reasonable. The interior is top notch in these.

Haha never realized these things were almost double the cost of an overpriced Volt. Almost 20K off msrp and still imo overpriced being slow as sh*t (slower than a volt), rebodied volt (look at the greenhouse of it), 10x less battery range than a model s with more power. Basically what the volt should have been since the back seat of it is unusable anyway. For full retail price of this I'd buy a Tesla Model s. Have yet to see one on the road, only seen one in real life on a turntable at the autoshow.

And then there's the fine print. This is the GM employee price. I took this directly from the posted ad:

Yes. I could see it being a $40k car, but that's all.

90% of people would never use the full potential of that 0-60 time, not even close, so as long as they don't buy it as a sports car acceleration beyond that point is moot. Besides marketing reasons that is.

I've seen approximately two. And this is in West LA. I see a ton of Volts and Model S's every day.

I saw one in the showroom, and the dealer made no flattery towards it.

One of my thoughts though was, "Does there really need to leather there?" I think it was on the A pillar or something. XD

I've seen one. and it was a fleeting glimpse at that. Probably a good thing because while they (cadillac) are doing something "unconventional" or "innovative", it's still no Elmiraj. I WANT A FUCKING ELMIRAJ ALREADY!
